SUMMARY:NAIFA/CF December 14\, 2021 Luncheon Meeting
DESCRIPTION:NOTE THE REVISED DATE AND LOCATION FOR THE DECEMBER MEETING ONLY!\nNAIFA Central Florida Monthly Meeting \nDecember is always a fun meeting.  This is when we raffle items to raise funds for The Russell Home For Atypical Children\nBut we had to change the date and the location because Dubsdread has some high minimums for Food & Beverage for all December meetings.  So we will be at The Azalea Lodge at Mead Gardens\,  1300 S Denning Dr\, Winter Park\, FL 32789. \nHere is a link to Google map:\nhttps://www.google.com/maps/dir//Mead+Botanical+Garden\,+1300+S+Denning+Dr\,+Winter+Park\,+FL+32789/@28.5781692\,-81.3735103\,14z/data=!4m9!4m8!1m0!1m5!1m1!1s0x88e7700a7a610ef9:0x7d6c949fb27cded4!2m2!1d-81.3582944!2d28.5842464!3e0 \nMEETING INFORMATION\nTopic: The Russell Home Raffle\n11:30 am – 1:00 pm on Tuesday\, December 14\, 2021\nThe Azalea Lodge At Mead Gardens\n1300 S Denning Dr\, Winter Park\, FL 32789\nThe Russell Home \nThe Russell Home was the first non-profit institution in the country for brain-damaged children. Today you would find quietly hanging in the home a dusty occupational license dated Nov. 13\, 1951\, when Mrs. Russell opened her home to the first child to “see if it would work out.” Since then\, the home has opened its doors to hundreds of youngsters\, sometimes after hearing pleas from desperate parents\, and in more than one instance\, finding them just left on the doorstep. \nThe physical home consists of a nursery\, dormitory wing\, playrooms\, living room areas\, kitchen and large laundry room. The nursery\, done up in bright colors with many posters and stuffed animals\, is cheerful for the children. However\, if your are ever fortunate enough to visit\, bring plenty of tissue as you will find before the end of your visit you will not have a dry eye. The love that is in this home\, expressed through the eyes\, sounds\, and smiles from the children will make you count your blessings for the simple things in life. \nThe Russell Home is also a proud member of the Florida Association of Christian Child Caring Agencies. For more information on this organization\, please go to https://russellhome.org/#:~:text=The%20Russell%20Home%20for%20Atypical\,%EE%80%B0 \nNEEDS LIST\nThe Russell Home always needs supplies for their facilities.  Please review this list and bring some items to the meeting.  We will collect them and get them delivered to The Russell Home after the meeting.\nhttps://russellhome.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Russell-Home-Needs-List-1.22.21.pdf \nPLEASE BRING ITEMS TO THE MEETING THAT WE CAN RAFFLE OFF!!! \nCost:\nMember of NAIFA  In Person  $20.00\nNon-Members In-Person $25.00\nMember of NAIFA Via ZOOM $10.00\nNon-Members Via ZOOM $15.00\nInvited and First-Time Guests – FREE
