George is an Insurance Benefits Consultant and Broker with over 22 years of experience working with medium to large multi-state employer groups. He has a diverse business background which includes 38+ years of experience in Business Development\, Sales\, and Marketing.  He began his sales career in 1984 in the Fund-Raising business where he was Southeastern Sales Director\, managing 6 Southern States\, while earning the Top Sales Award for his own territory in parts of North and South Carolina. He then led the largest Physician Recruiting Company in the U.S. out of Atlanta\, where he Regional Vice President for parts of the Southeast and Midwest. \nIn 1998\, he became head of Business Development for a software firm and helped secure $11.5 million in Venture Capital funding for that company\, which eventually sold to a major drug manufacturer.  In 2000\, he decided to enter the Insurance business as an Independent Agent\, and in 2002\, joined Kuykendall Gardner\, which became HUB International Florida in 2014. \nAs a past local NAIFA leader and a current President of NAIFA-Florida\, George advocates for insurance industry reforms which protect us from bad legislative and insurance carrier actions. He works diligently to stay current with the myriad of changes in the insurance industry. Today you would find quietly hanging in the home a dusty occupational license dated Nov. 13\, 1951\, when Mrs. Russell opened her home to the first child to “see if it would work out.” Since then\, the home has opened its doors to hundreds of youngsters\, sometimes after hearing pleas from desperate parents\, and in more than one instance\, finding them just left on the doorstep. \nThe physical home consists of a nursery\, dormitory wing\, playrooms\, living room areas\, kitchen and large laundry room. The nursery\, done up in bright colors with many posters and stuffed animals\, is cheerful for the children. However\, if your are ever fortunate enough to visit\, bring plenty of tissue as you will find before the end of your visit you will not have a dry eye. The love that is in this home\, expressed through the eyes\, sounds\, and smiles from the children will make you count your blessings for the simple things in life. \nThe Russell Home is also a proud member of the Florida Association of Christian Child Caring Agencies. Mayeux manages all external affairs of the Association\, including relationships with life\, health and financial service companies\, other industry organizations\, legislators and regulators. Internally\, Mayeux manages day-to-day headquarters operations\, provides support and advice to NAIFA’s Board of Trustees and committees\, coordinates Federation activities\, and oversees NAIFA’s operating policies and procedures. Prior to joining NAIFA\, Mayeux was Executive Vice President\, Chief Officer for North American Operations and General Counsel for the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)\, an international professional society with 185\,000 members throughout 190 countries.
