These courses include “Investment Fundamentals\,” “Retirement Investment Strategies\,” “Estate Conservation\,” and “Charitable Giving.” Chris focuses on teaching individuals seeking information on how to pursue personal and financial success in retirement. \nHe is also professionally trained in communication and presentation skills by EXEC/COMM\, who is registered through NASBA as a certified sponsor of courses that qualify for CPE credit through state accountancy boards. Chris has conducted Corporate Education courses at many large corporations\, such as Siemens\, Symantec\, OUC\, and HDR Engineering. Additionally\, Chris serves as a board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Florida and the Adventist University of Health Sciences. \nChris joined the Investment and Insurance Industry in 1999. He holds numerous securities registrations\, including the Series 7\, 63\, 65\, and 24\, as well as Life/Health/Variable Annuity insurance licenses. Additionally\, he has obtained the professional designation of Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) through the College of Financial Planning. He owned and managed an investment firm for several years before joining Wealth Solutions of Central Florida\, a MetLife office\, as an Agency Director. Chris was ranked 10th out of 250 Agency Directors nationwide in 2005\, before deciding to focus exclusively on serving his private clientele through fee-based financial planning and asset management. As a financial planner\, he focuses on portfolio design\, tax strategies\, pension plans\, and retirement planning. \nChris Bordner was born and raised in Orlando\, FL and is an Alumni of the University of Central Florida\, where he studied Electrical Engineering and played football for the Knights. Meenan serves as the firm’s managing shareholder. While Deputy Treasurer for the State of Florida\, Tim oversaw Florida’s four billion dollar State Treasury as well as three other divisions of the Florida Department of Insurance\, including the Division of Risk Management. He also served for three years as the Executive Assistant to the Florida Insurance Commissioner\, where he helped formulate and implement legislative and regulatory proposals for the Department. Tim received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida State University\, serving as President of the Student Body\, and received his Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law. \nInvolved in the political process throughout his professional career\, Tim served as campaign manager for a Florida Cabinet race and a United States Senate campaign. He was appointed by Governor Bob Graham as a member of the Postsecondary Education Planning Commission. \nTim’s practice focuses on regulatory law before numerous state agencies\, with an emphasis on insurance company regulation.
