Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Improves Customer Relationships and Drives Business Growth

In this session, Chief Inclusion Officer of the Principal Financial Group, Miriam Harris Lewis will discuss how an understanding of diversity & inclusion can improve customer relationships and drive business growth.

In her role with Principal, Miriam has global responsibility for designing, leading, and implementing strategies that foster a more inclusive workplace, increase employee performance, drive better outcomes for customers, and ultimately improve business results. She also helps to foster diversity and inclusion efforts across the life insurance industry as chair of The American Council of Life Insurers’ (ACLI) Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Forum, which is responsible for strategies to integrate DEI into ACLI’s industry portfolio. In addition, Miriam provides insights and perspectives to drive excellence in the global diversity and inclusion marketplace by serving as a director on the Diversity MBA Advisory Leadership Board for P&L Groups, LTD of IL Holding Company.
